We were very pleased to welcome Mary McGivern of Castle Park LBC. to our 2026 closing luncheon in Canal Ct. Hotel on 15th September. Mary was President of NIWBA in 2001, when she was a member of Newcastle LBC. Mary has recently celebrated her 99th birthday. It was great to see her looking so well, and she has been a wonderful member of NIWBA for many years. The semi finals and finals of the McMaster Cup 2026, took place at NICS on 5th September. NICS is the home green of the 2026 IWBA President, Paula Montgomery. The semi finalists were Markethill (NIWBA), NICS (NIWPGL) Limavady (PTWBA) and Crumlin (ILB). Markethill were drawn against NICS. It was a very hard fought game, and the Markethill ladies were well in the game for many ends. However, NICS did then edge it slightly and Markethill ended up losing the game by 12 shots.

Unfortunately all NIWBA representatives were beaten in the semi finals at the IWBA Finals in NICS.
