IWBA Finals

The IWBA finals took place at Pickie BC on 3 and 4'September. While the NIWBA didn't win any titles, they still had a great weekend coming runners up in 4 competitions

In the pairs, Vera Mohan and Liz Smyth (Markerhill) had a fantastic 32-2 win in the Semi final against the LBLI pair (including a hotshot), but fell just short in the final against Sandra Bailey from the PGL.

In the triples Bernie Mulvenna, Pam Trohear and Jennifer McClure overcame the LBLI triple skipped by P. McDonagh in the semi final by 3 shots, but were beaten in the final by Donna McCloy's Provincial Towns triple.

The rinks saw Eileen Robson's four beating A. McLaughlin from the LPGL in the semi final, but one bad end undone them in the final against the LBLI.

In the Junior Pairs, Lara Reaney teamed up with Zoe Stattan from the Provincial Towns, but lost out in the final 17-16 to Amy Carruth and Sophie McIntyre.

In the other competitions, Pauline Beattie (Markethill) lost out in the semi final to eventual winner Noreen Kelly from LBLI, while in the Senior Fours, Eileen Robson lost in the semi finals to eventual winners Sanda Bailey.
